Dog Friendly Hotel in Shropshire

The Castle Hotel is a truly Dog Friendly Hotel. We actively encourage our customers to bring their dogs with them, and why not, we have spectacular walking countryside for you and your K9 companion to enjoy together. PLUS Dogs stay free of charge!! We even provide a dog welcome goody box in your bedroom on arrival.

We treat dogs here just as we treat our human customers. Be sure to introduce your dog to our members of staff as we love to get to know them over the course of your stay. Dine with us and have your dogs by your side in any one of our bar areas at all meal times.

If you have any dog related needs including dog food refrigeration or any other requests just let us know. Our fully enclosed garden is perfect to let the dog of the lead.

If you would like any dog friendly walks where you can safely let the dog of the lead just ask for our routes at the hotel reception with many starting from the hotel front door.

We look forward to meeting you and your dogs here at The Castle Hotel. For more dog friendly information at The Castle Hotel please click here.

We have been named The Good Hotel Guide Editors Choice Dog Friendly Hotel for 2020.

As recommended by Rough Guides for Dog Friendly breaks away.

Whilst we love having well-behaved dogs to stay, we do have a few hotel rules to ensure that all of our guests enjoy their stay.

– Well behaved dogs are welcome to be left in your room but we ask that your dog must never be allowed on the furniture or beds.

– Please bring bedding for your dog(s) and if they are mucky or wet after a walk, please do dry them off using the dog wash & dog towels that are provided so that they are clean before entering any part of the hotel.

– Dogs are welcome in the Main Bar and staff may use their discretion to allow dogs in other bars but they are unfortunately not allowed in the oak panelled dining room. They must be quiet and calm or you will be asked to take them outside or back to your room.
Should your dog bark or whine excessively during your stay then sadly we will have to ask you to leave the dinning area.

– Pets are allowed in the garden, but please clean up any mess left behind. Waste bags are available from behind reception. Please note that there is a small but deep pond in the garden which pets are not allowed in.

– Refrigerated space is available for storage of pet food and there are lots of dedicated bins for pet waste dotted around the property.

– A variety of walks suitable for dogs starting from the hotel front door are available in front of reception along with information on pet friendly attractions. Please ask a member off staff to recommend pet friendly walks.

– Guide dogs are welcome and allowed in all areas of the hotel.
