Henry & Rebecca (Bex) – Owners and Managers

Henry and Bex are both originally from Oswestry in North Shropshire – just up the road really. The Castle Hotel is their first business together, so it is a big step for them, but they didn’t enter the field completely unprepared.

Rebecca has worked as a restaurant manager in different countries around the world, and in a variety of other roles within the hospitality and customer service industry. Henry grew up from age four (!) in a hotel not too far from Bishops Castle, called The Pen-y-Dyffryn Hotel, just outside of Oswestry. Check it out at http://www.peny.co.uk/ His parents, Miles and Audrey, still own and run Pen-y-Dyffryn, and are very involved in the operation at The Castle. They are an invaluable fount of knowledge when it comes to running the hotel.

Henry and Bex have both lived and worked in Manchester for the last few years, but missing the country air they packed their bags and have moved to Bishops Castle.

They also have their newest member of the gang – Milly, the miniature Dachshund, who is probably the worst guard dog a Castle has ever had! She could lick an intruder to death, or tire them out with her games.

The Staff

We have a great compliment of staff here, that we can genuinely say  absolutely love the place. Most have been working here for over 4 years, and some as long as 20 !! A rare find in the hospitality industry.

They really do care about making every customers visit as memorable and pleasant as possible.
