Hotels that welcome pets are good news for dog lovers – no-one likes kenneling their pet. Shropshire is such a quiet and rural county that we think it is ideal for pets and their owners, so The Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle has been a pet friendly hotel for many years, and pets stay free.

We have a large garden with small wooded area for you to exercise your pet, and we are well away from busy roads so you can relax and enjoy your holiday together. There are lots of great walks in the surrounding fields and hills, and maps and walking guides are available in reception.

If your pet has special dietary requirements we will be only too pleased to help

Pet Friendly Hotel

We try to have as few rules as possible for our doggy guests, but as a courtesy to other humans we do make the following requests :

• Pets may be left unattended in the bedroom during dinner provided you are sure they will not jump on the beds or furniture. Otherwise please leave them in the car while you are eating.
• Please bring a dog-bed and some towels with you.
• Please “scoop-and-bin” your pets mess in the hotel gardens or car park.
